Early Life

Mujtaba aziz naza was born in Mumbai on 11th august 1987. he is the son of legendary qawwali singer Late Aziz Naza. At the age of 2 years Mujtaba started singing and within six months of period he played tabla and harmonium as well. At the age of 3 years he won the first music competition in his school Dunnes Institute. He lost his father at the age of 5 years in the year 1992. after the sad demise of his father he lost his interest in studies, but his passion for music followed him as he grew. Mujtaba began his early music training from Ustad Afzal Khan from Rampur Gharana and Ustad Abdul Karim Khan as his mother (Mumtaz Naza) was commenced to teach him classical music. At the age of 12 years his first cassette was released.

Personal Life

In the year 1992 after the death of his Father (Aziz Naza), Mujtaba was immensely hurt and disturbed. All day long, he spoke about his father and kept listening to his father’s cassette and tried to learn music from them. Due to the early death of his father, his mother faced problems, because of extreme torture done to them. His mother was compelled to leave Mumbai on the 17th December 1992 and shift to her maternal house in Kanpur. Mujtaba was motivated by his mother and grand mother toward music.

At the age of 8 years in the years 1995 he performed his 1st stage show and fortunately it was a big success after that show he was invited to other stage shows sometimes. In the 1999 his mother met an accident and was unable to walk. This incident had a major impact on Mujtaba’s mind and he finally decided to come to Mumbai to develop his career in music industry. In spite of disapproval of his mother Mujtaba came to mumbai. His mother was extremely disappointed and upset that she was not in talking term with him for few months. But his maternal grand parents (Late Mr. P. N. Mishra and Raj Kumari Mishra), supported him morally and financially. After a lot of struggle he some how survived in Mumbai. In the year 2000, when he was 12 year old a new company released his first cassette. Due to this cassette he got some more fame and even more program. At the age of 13 he could manage his family to stay along with him in Mumbai. He got married in the year 2017.

Career

After the release of his first cassette, Mujtaba initially took private program, stage shows and cultural program all over India. In spite of his teen age, he was popular amongst the crowd as his appearance was like his father and his inherited talent made the audience go insane. In the year 2002 he did several albums with Ultra Sound Music Company. In the year 2004, he joined T-Series and did some devotion albums. In the year 2005, he composed a song for a Serial Named as “Mannaton Ka Safar” and in the same year a title song for Prem Sagar’s “Ek Hazaar Ek Raatein Ek Hazaar Ek Kahaaniyan”. In the year 2007, he composed and sung a qawwali for a film “Kahin Na Kahin Milenge”, Made in Kuwait. In the year 2008, he joined a production house as a music composer. He recorded 27 Songs with famous Bollywood Singers Kumar sanu, Alka yagnik, Hari Haran, Shaan, SHreya Ghoshal and Javed Ali. In the year 2010, he made a tie up with himesh reshamiya H.R. Music but he did not materialized. In the same year he did multiple albums with Red and Yellow Music he got fame all over India because he was multi talented and also could various musical instruments. He even started taking program abroad. In the year 2015 he got his first film in Bollywood “Baji Rao Mastaani” as a singer. He sang the qawwali parts in the song in “dewani mastani” and “Aayat”. In the same year Director Amole gupte offered Mujtaba to do a Jingle for a commercial advertisement.

Impressed by his work, Amole Gupte offered him to be the music composer of his film Sniff, Based on Kids which was released in the year 2017. In the year 2016 he was invited to Dubai for a private program arranged by Kannur City Fest. In the year 2017 Madhur B0handarkar and Anu Malik offered him to sing as well as Perform the Qawwali “Chadta Sooraj” Originally sung by and composed by his Father (Aziz Naza) and remake by Anu Malik. He was even invited along with his brother (Munir Naza) as a guest in kapil sharma show, for the promotion of the film “Indu Sarkar” also accompanied by Madhur Bhandarkar, Bappi Lehri, Niel Nitin Mukesh and Kirti Kulhadi. He went to Israel in the same year and made a great impact on the audience over their that he was again invited to Israel in 2018 along with Sadhna Sargam and her group. In the year late 2017 he was offered a song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Padmavat”. He sang the Qawwali Part in the song “Ek Dil Ek Jaan” which was released in the year 2018. He got an opportunity in the year 2017 itself to do the music composition for a short film named as “Return of One Idiot”. It was produced by IDFC Mutual Fund and Directed By Amole Gupte. He Composed and sang a Heart rending song “Akele Aa Gaye The” along with his brother (Munir Aziz Naza).
